See Napa Valley In Wine Colored Lenses

September 2nd, 2010 No comments »

The Wine Country of Northern California is a vacation destination for wine lovers from all throughout the country and around the world. Napa, Sonoma, and Calistoga offer visitors a splendid vacation experience with the laid back attitude of Northern California. From the romantic bed and breakfast tour to the exhilaration of winery tours for the wine affecionato, the Wine Country is genuinely a marvelous destination.

The area has definitely been developed on the wine industry’s popularity. In 1975, Napa Valley had about 20 wineries. Now tourists can choose between an extraordinary 275. Nearly all of these wineries offer tours and tastings and many are open to the public daily. The Wine Country continues to develop and to draw visitors who are interested in the best wines that California has to offer.

The city of Napa is the largest in the valley and has all of the facilities someone might expect from a city of its size. There is mainstream shopping and many choices for visitors needing to have a fitting base of operations in the valley. Rates for vacation rentals and hotels are typically less in Napa than beach rentals directly on the coast line. The drawback is that the city is less refined and definitely more mainstream than the rest of the valley’s wine destinations, but the proximity to the rest of the valley might make that a small price to pay.

If you are on the lookout for something out of the ordinary, then Calistoga ought to be on your list of destinations. The town is adorned with false fronted shops in the manner of the Old West. There are real 19th century hotels and wonderful opportunities for visitors looking for bed and breakfast inns in the wine country. The fine dining enjoyed elsewhere is replaced by unassuming cafes and a casual attitude that permeates the town. The town was founded as a resort destination, and a number of the initial lodges and hot springs are still in operation. This is definitely the place for visitors who are delighted in the Wine Country but also have a desire to see Northern California the way that it once was.

Another 19th century creation, and the oldest town within the Wine Country, is Sonoma, California. There are a range of attractions here and a lot of of them are unrelated to the food and wine culture of the surrounding vicinity. There are places preserved from the Spanish Mission era, 19th century adobes, old hotels, and even a theater preserved from the 1930s. Sonoma is definitely an outstanding place to find vacation rentals to set up your base of operations, though there are amazing hotels and a variety of bed and breakfasts here as well. Fit in a stop in the city’s central plaza to glimpse what real life is like for locals of the California Wine Country.

Why Corporate Tourists Should Consider Corporate Housing

September 2nd, 2010 No comments »

In any business organization, sending an employee on a business conference out of town is necessary to boost revenues. But it can be a hassle for individuals to go to a certain place and have to adjust to a new environment. Finding a place to stay can also be a problem. Thankfully, there are corporate apartments for rent that are perfect for those who are sent out for a business trip. The services of these houses are similar to hotels and these houses are designed for business people.

Because there are many corporate housing units available for rent, it is important to make an effort to assess each one and find the best. For this, you would need to do a little research about location. The location of the house matters a lot especially when it comes to your safety. While you do your research, try asking whether the area is dangerous or not. You may want to inquire about reports of mugging or robbery. It is also advisable to check the parking area and see if it is well-lit or if there are security people securing the area round the clock.

For business people, choosing a fully furnished apartment is ideal. The corporate apartments have areas that are conducive for people who need to work like those who are there for business. Housekeeping services should also be provided. Since corporate apartments have similar services like what people would get in hotels, it is necessary for this service to be provided. An ideal corporate apartment is a place where business people can feel close to home and they can work comfortably while they are there.

Newspaper, television and the Internet are examples of places where you can look for ads on corporate apartments. These ads would include all the services offered. You might want to consider looking into these ads if you don’t want to have a hard time looking for a place to stay. Before you contact the company and make your reservation, make sure that you have carefully assessed each choice.

When you look for a corporate housing unit, remember also that accessibility is very important. Since you are there for business, you need to have a place that is near your working area so that you won’t have to spend a lot of time traveling. The time it will take to travel from where you stay to the place where you work is important regardless of whether you will stay there for a week or for a month. If you want to be rational, choose a place that is near the area where you are expected to work most of the time.

If you are looking for a place to stay in St Louis, take a look at corporate housing in St Louis for some of the safest, most comfortable and most affordable options you can consider. For an short term housing St Louis, choose among many packages offered by these housing companies and simply find the one that will best suit your needs at the most practical cost.

September 2nd, 2010 No comments »

A couple of frantic days of scurrying here and there to briefly admire the virtual storehouse of antiquities and modern opportunities nesting quite comfortably side by side, is not long enough for a cultural tour of the grand old city of London. Whoever you are, choose one of the many fine London hotels, settle in and allow yourself time to get to know the amazing people, city and the history. The list of things to do and places to see is only limited by your time frame and particular interests; but London definitely has something for every taste and every age.

Since getting your accommodations lined up is the first step, whether you’re budget conscious, business-minded or historically inclined, London hotels offer all the choices you need. Luxury can be found in both very modern new facilities as well as lovingly restored older buildings. Traditional British hospitality rules everywhere, regardless of the setting. London offers bed and breakfast inns, modern business accommodations and “boutique” hotels. You’ll also find that there are hundreds of London hotels scattered around the city so it may be worth thinking about the attractions you want to see and the things you want to do before you settle on which area to stay in.

The first question is what to explore first, once you are settled. London zoo has 600 species covering 36 beautiful acres, children love it. Eat at one of the cafes or take a picnic lunch. The Sea Life London Aquarium can entertain for hours with a collage of sea creatures from all over the world. Older teens love Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum and Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. The London Eye, the world’s very largest observational wheel can give you an incredible bird’s eye view for as many as 25 miles away, on a clear day. Then there’s the British Music Experience, an opportunity to attend workshops and concerts and interact with exhibits.

London has a fascintaing history which perhaps you have been drawn to. You’ll want to take a river cruise and maybe visit Tower bridge. You can choose between an exhilarating RIB Tour in a 12-seater rigid inflatable boat that will have you flying down the Thames at 30 knots, or the sedate and leisurely ones. Either way, you’ll come to appreciate the role of this important river in the history of London. See the royal arms and a vast armour collection with a trip to the Tower of London. London has numerous museums with continually rotating displays.

Your Meal Ticket To The Planet’s Greatest Restaurants

September 2nd, 2010 No comments »

I’ll admit, when I’m traveling anywhere, the food plays a big part in my decision. More and more recently, “foodie” vacations are becoming increasingly popular. Referred to as gastronomy, defined as the art or science of good food or eating, this drive has been luring people all over the world to taste the best cuisines. Tasting these places for yourself is definitely worth obtaining your USA passport, especially because of how easy it’s gotten.

Let’s start our foodie vacation investigation halfway around the globe in Singapore. Yes, foodies from all over the world travel here to experience some of the finest Asian restaurants you can ever enjoy. The Singapore natives are quite passionate about their eating and drinking and their culture and culinary art will insure your enjoyment. It can certainly be said that their culture is food and food is their culture. Your enjoyment here will not be limited, however, as you can also enjoy delights originating from France, Italy, China and Malaysia.

Barcelona in Spain is another huge destination for those following their stomachs. Huge food markets populate the streets and you will find restaurants boasting some of the tastiest food in the world. Barcelona is a food lover’s paradise. Definitely try the tapas, a famous Spanish dish, as well as investing in a bottle of authentic Spanish olive oil. The Pastas Alimenticias bakery and the Mercat de la Boqueria are two world renowned places to eat. Traveling to Spain means sampling some of the most delicious food around, and if you love food, this is the place to go.

No foodie vacation list would be complete without listing Avignon, France. The largest percentage of the economy of this town relates to the food industry, both the manufacturing, exporting and, of course, presentation and enjoyment. Wineries, vineyards and restaurants provide the visitor with boundless opportunities to enjoy the tasty meals offered here as well as some of the finest wines worldwide.

Bologna, Italy has to be one of the food capitals of the world. Italian food is definitely my favorite, and nothing beats the authentic spaghetti and pizza from Italy. Fresh markets line the streets and the restaurants feature some of the most delicious Italian food you will ever experience. Bologna is also the birth place of many of our favorite foods, including tasty Bolognese sauce, prosciutto, salami, local wines, and mortadella. While the food is absolutely delicious, Bologna is also a very beautiful place to visit.

Traveling internationally requires a passport and that need not cause you any alarm. With a few clicks on your computer, you can easily find a passport agency making the need for urgent new passport renewal, passport replacements or just getting additional pages for your current passport as easy as going to your home computer.

Do you love food? Perhaps as you consider your next vacation, you may want to find a destination that was mentioned above, providing you with an opportunity for an appetite adventure! Plus, getting a new passport is made simple by visiting websites that offer passport services. They can help you with all your passport needs, including new requests or urgent passport renewal. All you should have to worry about is what you will be ordering at one of these world famous restaurants.

Palazzo Prestige: The way hotels should be

Prestige Lounge at Palazzo

Prestige Lounge at Palazzo

By Nikki Neu
VEGAS.com

Enjoying the new Prestige lounge at the Palazzo Las Vegas wasn’t difficult.

On my recent stay, (hey, someone has to test the 42-inch plasma TV and electronic draperies in those rooms) I was impressed with the new Prestige Lounge and the long list of complimentary amenities at my disposal.

From the glass of Champagne I was greeted with at my private check-in to complimentary access to the Canyon Ranch SpaClub fitness facility, I moved about the resort with ease.

Palazzo Exterior

Palazzo Exterior

I was really impressed with the Prestige lounge. It’s a 12,000-square-foot space with beautiful furnishings like dark wood paneling and velvety-soft plush chairs and sofas. The lounge houses a piano, table and chair sets and a bar area.

The whole lounge is Wi-Fi accessible, so I brought my laptop (it was a work trip, after all) and surfed the net while enjoying my morning coffee. Guests can conduct meetings in the private board room area. There is also a business center with computers available to guests of Prestige — but enough about work.

On to the fun stuff: When you book a Prestige level room, you automatically have access to all the extras you love to have in a hotel. There are five food presentations per day including a deluxe continental breakfast (Try the croissant sandwiches.) There is also a complimentary cocktail hour where hors d’oeuvres are also served.

On select nights you’ll even get to sample some of the Palazzo’s fine dining restaurants like Carnevino and Zine in the lounge, with the opportunity to make reservations at the restaurant for the evening.

I enjoyed my afternoon with admission to the Azure pool. I watched some television on one of the lounge’s big televisions and rented a movie from the DVD library, all complimentary. There’s also an elevated level of concierge service so you don’t have to stand in line for information like everyone else. For an additional charge, I was offered a pillow menu and bath service (in case I forgot my rubber ducky.)

Upgrading my room to include the Prestige level was totally worth it. It’s the way hotel service should be.

Hmmm, I Haven’t Heard Of A Caribbean Safari!

September 1st, 2010 No comments »

So there is the good old fashioned African Safari, but what about the Caribbean Safari?? When you consider what the Caribbean is known for on holiday, it certainly isn’t safaris. Because these islands are considered relaxation or party islands, nobody every really takes the time to think about what is actually on them.

Although you won’t be finding lions or many larger animals on one of these safaris there are many different and diverse animals living here. Across the islands there are a massive amount of bird species. Canada may be massive, but there are more species on tiny Trinidad. There are many different animals here, but in terms of bird fauna, there is much much more.

Although there is not all that many animals on the islands, there is a massive amount of variety in the waters. The Water Safari also supplies a unique view of the Caribbean, and the chance to see things from a different perspective. If you would like to go out diving as well, and actually get up close to sting rays and dolphins, then by all means give it a go. The great thing about the Caribbean, is that you probably are not going to encounter all that many dangerous predators, in fact there are practically none. One i recommend that you do really watch out for, and why you should listen to your tour guide is the Alligator.

What is truly astonishing is the general knowledge that the guides have about some of these certain areas. You can tap into their knowledge about your surroundings and the wildlife you may encounter. To find about these stories you need to travel on one of the rain forest safaris. So if you have the decision on a Kenya safari or a Caribbean safari, you should think about what kind of holiday you would prefer, the adventure strung Africa Safari, or the more relaxed Caribbean Safari?

Africa Safari is a great way to enjoy your holidays this year, especially with Botswana holidays or Zambia holidays!
