Looking for Halloween ideas? Orlando is a really great option if you’re looking to make this fall holiday truly memorable this year. There are many fun Halloween ideas and games for you and the kids that Orlando’s many world-class amusement parks offer.

This season SeaWorld has a few tricks up their sleeve; they’ll give your kids a unique and non-terrifying experience when they pass out maps which lead to 15 different “treat” locations in the park where they can load up on scrumptious and tasty treats in a unique and non-terrifying environment. There’s this event they call “Spooktacular” where you can meet all sorts of amazing and exciting sea creatures like sea horses and dolphins. Dance to the beat of a different drum, along side ice witches, break dancers with roller skates all while playing plenty of interactive Halloween games and listening to the music of a rockin DJ. Your family will stay entertained for hours watching the fluorescent flamingos and all the amazing tropical fish.

No park is complete without the Sesame Street friends: Elmo and Count von Count will be counting down to Halloween onstage with a special guest appearance from the Gummy Worm Wanda. You’ll find Gummy Worm Wanda wandering the streets looking to make your little one’s day. Of course, make sure your kids have a fun and comfortable Halloween costume and you might as well wear one too; you’re on vacation! A kid-friendly version of spooky Halloween is being offered at Disney World.

As usual for Disney World, you’ll meet world-famous Disney characters all over the park and Mickey will be hosting his spookiest Halloween party yet. And of course, there will be “trick-or-treating” going on throughout the day. A beautiful fireworks show and a special holiday of lights parade will cap off the night in style after Mickey’s party is over. If shopping is your thing, there are Mickey stores located throughout the park along with many other shopping options whether you’re looking for a new outfit or a souvenir. Your ticket purchase provides you with a wrist band which allows you to access special events; advance purchase on certain dates and annual-pass holders are eligible for discounts. Undoubtedly, the place in Orlando for a truly “terrifying” Halloween experience is Universal Studios. This premier theme park horror event is known to attract diehard horror fans from across the world that will have their thrill-seeking thirst satisfied. The ‘Horror’ factor will shine through when you visit both the haunted houses and the ‘horror night’ mazes. You’ll be equally pleased by either of these options for fun. Among the other scary places; Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure and the famous ‘Intense’ scare zones are definitely a ‘MUST CREEP’.

Rumor has it that this year’s Halloween season at Universal Studios will make all the past years seem “like nothing” compared to what they are preparing for this year. Use caution before bringing children as Universal Studios even recommends on its websites that some material in Horror Nights may be too explicit for the younger ones.

Regardless of whether you’re looking for the ultimate freak out, or a relaxing treat-filled tour of the Magic Kingdom with your kids, Orlando is the place to be this year. While you’re in Orlando, there are many choices for lodging accommodations, thousands of beautiful hotels, and hundreds of resorts such as The Fountains, a luxurious resort offered in many Bluegreen vacations. Come enjoy the sun and get spooked out!
