There are many hotels in United Kingdom which are of 1 star to 5 stars. Smaller hotels like Premier Inn, Ibis and Travelodge all are thinking of replacing their old furniture with new modern furniture if not done so already in the past. In last 18 months the hotels have already started doing this so that they get more customers and business. Some of the small branded hotels like Ibis, Premier Inn and Travelodge have offers and deals of low price rooms which attracts a lot of people to compete with the big brand hotels.
If you visit these hotels in Central London or Heathrow Airport you will see that they have already started replacing their old furniture with new modern furniture. The hotel furniture they replaced it with are contemporary looking furniture which are comfortable too. Couple of years ago these smaller hotels were not known for their furniture even though the price of their rooms were cheap. Since then they have realised that no matter how cheap the prices are people would still prefer to stay or sleep in a place where they feel comfortable.
Simple example is Premiers Inn TV advert. The advert is now telling people that they have an comfortable environment with modern furniture but they are still as a cheap as before. They have shown that they have change the way they used to look with new modern furniture and also have shown that the price is still the same so anyone can afford to stay there. Even the hotels bar/s have new bar furniture for general public to enjoy few drinks with their friends and family before heading out or going to bed.
Many restaurants and bars have started taking this approach to target more people. There is no doubt that people get attracted to new, modern and good looking things (even after they are hooked with someone). It is the way human nature is and has always been we get pulled towards attractive things.
