As we move towards 2011 the art of communication is becoming more and more important. This is most certainly the case in the air travel industry. The importance of up to date and correct travel information is paramount and fortunately for everyone concerned the birth of the internet has made this possible.
As an example I was due to pick my sister up from the airport last night. She has been in Turkey for the last two weeks on a much needed holiday. She had needed the break after working hard at the IT outsourcing London company where you she works as an IT support service London specialist. I had agreed to collect her from the airport on her return. She was due to land at 7.45pm and normally I would just turn up etc. For whatever reason which for the life of me I can not explain – I decided to check online to see if the plane had been delayed.
I searched on Google for websites that could be able to provide me with this information and soon found myself clicking away on a very impressive website. The flight had been delayed for three hours – talk about a sixth sense!
This then gave me the time to take a proper look around the website where I had found the information about the delay. I have to say it was a most impressive site – it had information about valet parking Gatwick south terminal, local hotels, information about local restaurants and bars, Gatwick meet greet airport parkingplus lots more beside. I actually learned quite a lot about the City which I did not know and I live here!
If you are looking for up to date information about flight arrivals and departures or information about a new city or travel destination that you are going to visit then it would be most certainly worth looking online for one of the airport information type websites as they can provide you with a whole host of interesting resources. They certainly helped me as did the Gatwick valet parking lol!
