Ways To Chill It In Scandinavia

A few years ago I spent a summer living with my partner in Stockholm. Its an absolutely amazing city, full of culture, history and innovation.

However, being a Scandinavian capital city something it did lack was air conditioning! Being close to the Arctic Circle, hot summers werent something the Swedes were necessarily expecting when they designed their city so its only now that the climate all over the world seems to be on the increase that we seem to need to think about any sort of air conditioning service.

Because of the weather that had the city sweltering, wed go to the lakes and the Baltic Sea in which the Stockholm archipelago is located where wed swim, that or wed go to one of the many parks that are all over the city where we could sit under the trees with a nice cold beer and hang out with our friends.

Before we left the apartment, wed call up our friends and arrange to meet them in the supermarket. Because no-where had Toshiba air conditioning wed always meet up by the milk and cheese, because the refrigerators made the dairy aisle the coolest place in the city to hang out!

These days, wherever you live, its important to realise that air conditioning isnt just a luxury any longer, its often a necessity, in offices designed for European weather patterns youll have plenty of glass as it allows in natural light, however all that light means a lot of heat and passive ventilation cant be relied upon, particularly on a still, summers day.

Wherever you live, whatever your line of trade, its always important to consider your air conditioning.
